The CHANEL Cruise 2025/26 collection was presented at the Villa d’Este hotel on Lake Como, and it was like watching a cinematic adaptation of a swanky Italian summer vacation. There was glamour, sophistication and effortless chicness throughout.
As described by CHANEL, the theme was “an ode to cinematic glamour and to the joy of getting dressed up to be noticed.” Models strutted around the sun drenched terrace of the hotel while guests watched from the tavolini. Classic CHANEL silhouettes were on display, kept light and airy, perfect for a boat ride, a spritz on the patio, or a sophisticated dinner party. Looks were accompanied by heeled sandals, movie-star sunglasses, charming accessories, and an array of amazing bags from start to finish.
Amongst the stand out pieces from the collection is what appears to be a mini version of the CHANEL 25 handbag – shown in metallic gold, silver, mustard yellow and purple. This mini size is sure to become a favourite, so if you have your eye on it, act fast! Other favourites are sure to include the gelato minaudiere and an assortment of raffia bags.

While the colour scheme for most of the collection was whites and pastels, there was a string of hot pink pieces – including a bathing suit, lame jumpsuit with cape and silk pajamas – as well as an offering of all black looks, complete with opera gloves, ideal for the night life. Of course, tweeds were also incorporated, intertwined with metallic threads to match the shimmering effect of the sun shining on the lago. White crochet sets, cropped jackets, halter cut tops and dresses, and high slits on pants were all on display and essential for the ideal vacation wardrobe.
The beauty of the collection demonstrates the strength of CHANEL as a brand, even currently without an operating Creative Director. As we know, Matthieu Blazy’s first collection will be the Spring/Summer 2026 RTW collection, set to be presented in October 2025 at Paris Fashion Week. This Cruise collection was designed by the Creation Studio and embodied the “CHANEL-style” that defines every collection. Until the next show … Ciao, a presto!
